Women’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a self defense program
that is built to foster confidence, technical aptitude and
discipline in women of all ages. The program at Martial Maxx
MMA is designed to provide a comfortable all female training
environment so that every student can focus and develop
their skills without fear or intimidation. It is an
excellent art to learn and practice for any female as it
will increase their level of body awareness and self esteem.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport
primarily focused on self defense tactics from the ground
position. Its application is based on the notion that a
smaller weaker individual can competently defend themselves
against a larger stronger opponent. The word itself
translates to ‘art of gentleness/softness’, and its
application does not use or rely on any striking tactics.
The sport uses various joint locks, chokes, and dominating
positions to subdue and submit the attacker.
Complete a total body workout in one hour through a dynamic
warm up and a class that includes techniques, drilling and
live training. Students will benefit from a challenging
cardiovascular workout and notice increased strength,
flexibility and coordination.
